America freezing has gotten worse bc of the acceleration of Arctic Sea Ice melting due to Climate Change. Freshwater being added to Seawater in Arctic Ocean. Bc Freshwater is less dense it causes the North Atlantic currents to slow. These currents carry warmth down to Tropics.
Dense freshwater added to seawater will slow the currents that bring warmth down from Arctic and cause regional cooling here in North America and Europe.

We are currently seeing it manifests itself in Texas with devastating consequences. Its climate damage happening in real time
Like most things with climate change when the tipping point happens, it's usually violent and sudden. Just like a couple degrees can be devastating in hot places. 10 or 15 degrees cooler in cold places is diff between cold and freezing. Like what we are seeing in Texas
