I’m a seasoned snow driver, here are some tips for my Texan friends:

- clear your vehicle of ALL ice and snow before driving.
-Slow and steady, turn those hazards on if you need!
-when stopped, don’t immediately slam on the gas. You’ll actually dig a deeper hole and get stuck.
-Keep your momentum, don’t over compensate.
-If you slide, pump the brakes and turn the wheel in the direction you’re sliding.
-Try to follow others treadmarks in the road if possible, don’t forge your own path.
-brake/slow down way before you need to
-Do not accelerate when you turn, let your momentum take you.
-If it looks shiny and watery, it’s probably ice. Again, don’t accelerate!
-I personally do not drive over 15mph on roads, or 35mph on highways.
-Not everyone knows how to drive in this, keep a safe distance!
