One frustration I have in this debate is that a lot of the Republicans who are very eager to use poverty as a way to push people into low-wage work are not eager to make work better or more accessible for parents. I don't think that's a truly pro-work position.
If you are not thinking seriously about how to end just-in-time scheduling, for instance, you're not pro-work. You're just pro-corporation, at the expense of working parents.
