Guess who's sticking his nose into the #SiteC issue again? Jordan Bateman of @icbabc who bragged about forcing @jjhorgan to pass #SiteC in 2017 via a $$$$$ PR campaign. ICBA helped force Site C on BC taxpayers & ratepayers for its own profit. #bcpoli https://theorca.ca/resident-pod/bcpoli%E2%80%8B-hotstove-confusion-about-the-commission/
.Note: "The Orca" is a nakedly right-wing, BC Lib ideological organ pushing oil & gas, extraction & megaprojects, yet shamelessly copying @TheNarwhal with an animal mascot.

Also note: if Bateman is opining about #SiteC again, he's worried the project could be cancelled. #bcpoli
..The joke is that Jordan Bateman rambles on (from about 3:00 to 10:00) about "trusting the science." Are you kidding, man? #SiteC proceeded because the science was *ignored.* That's why we're seeing the whole dam slipping now. #bcpoli
..Meanwhile "the science" showed that the #SiteC project had more adverse environmental impacts *than any project ever reviewed by federal environ'l assessment." Hydro is *not* our cleanest energy source, we don't need it... Bateman wouldn't know science if it hit him in the face
..Worst of all, Jordan Bateman says 'the sunk cost fallacy is easy in theory, but hard in real life..'

Bud, real life is the only place the sunk cost fallacy applies. This isn't some word game. #SiteC means untold billions of our dollars & severe geotechnical risk.

..Just a few facts about "The Orca." It's not a media outlet. It's a BC Liberal blog. Of the first 5 'journalists' listed on their website, 4/5 show up in the political contributions database as BC Lib donors. McLean Kay, the editor, used to write speeches for Christy Clark...
(That search on the political contributions database was last year - but I doubt it has changed much since.) Brad Bennett wrote for "The Orca," masquerading as a journalist. Now they have Rob Shaw who says he is happy to work for 'independent' CHEK TV...
..The Orca refuses to disclose its funding. It is clearly but an arm of ResourceWorks and the BC Liberal Party. Why won't it say who its funders are? #bcpoli
..Appearing in The Orca:
* Maclean Kay - a Christy Clark political appointee
* Brad Bennett - high profile BC Liberal
* Suzanne Anton-- former BC Liberal Justice Minister
* now journalist Rob Shaw gives this bunch media cred; he should be embarrassed. #bcpoli
..So, @TheOrcaBC: please prove to us that you are not funded by the BC Liberal Party and BC Liberals. Disclose all your funding. #bcpoli
..PS: George Affleck, another @TheOrcaBC 'journalist', was the BC Liberal candidate for Vancouver-Fairview in the 2020 provincial election. You get the picture. #bcpoli
