The cowboy hat represents a tradition of working long hours tending land and livestock. As a fifth generation Coloradan, my roots run deep in rural #Colorado where I harvest and tend my own land.

I wear it as a proud representation of the decades of hard work my ancestors and my community know so well. It’s a symbol of the unique challenges and values of #RuralAmerica.

Unfortunately, people like my opponent Lauren Boebert use conspiracies and fear-mongering to manipulate members of our community and give rural America a terrible rap.

I wear this hat with pride. Lauren Boebert may pretend to be a “rural patriot” but she knows nothing about the rural values of honest work and decency.
