Ok, not a "yeah, America" thing, but a "pull one's head out of a hole" thing--In the wider global scope, America IS exceptional: We deal with less terrorism, disease, govt instability, compromised supply lines, & unreliable telecomms than approx. 80% of the world.

However, BECAUSE of this, there IS a degree of ignorance & complacency among "some" of our population. As many are learning, better infrastructure does not mean SUFFICIENT infrastructure. A better legal system does not mean a JUST (or functional) legal system, and so on.

Viewing America in isolation in any capacity does us no favors. You're angry tweeting, but did you angry tweet for Puerto Rico after Maria? Louisiana after Katrina? Did you call your senator or rep at any time? Sign a petition? CONSISTENTLY donate to rebuilding efforts?? 🤔
