Hang in there Texas.

I can imagine plumbers are hard to find right about now, so lets deviate from our normal content and work on some pipes.

Plumbing 101, shutting off the water.

There's a lot of different types of valves but they all do the same job
key safety tip. Don't play with black pipe, those are gas lines, if you smell gas, get out of the house.

Looks like this stuff, it's rolled iron or cast, its all very similar, looks black, has screw fittings everywhere.

Don't play with it. If you smell gas, get out.
So the water main coming into the house sounds intimidating but it's not. It's a pipe with a valve on it, and it's almost never frozen, fingers crossed. Shut off that valve (turn it clockwise)and your leaks will probably ;-) diminish and slow to a drip

Now for the fun part
If the valve works and the water shuts off you've won most of the battle already. If it doesn't, you can still fix it.

So if the valve itself isn't leaking but it didn't shut off water from spraying out burst pipes. There's always a solution.
