we worked our asses off engaging hundreds of women students in our feminist work in a very inhospitable environment. We dealt with extraordinary institutional misogyny, threats of sanctions for our pro-choice activity, burnout from how hard we worked without the support we needed
Prof Todd is concerned about the 'chilling effect' in universities? I've been personally smeared in the national press for being a trans woman who dared to run to be a women's officer. I was lucky not to receive abuse and death threats as many other young women activists have
There is so much vital feminist work happening across the country working on sexual violence, domestic violence, incarceration, fighting for liberated healthcare, reproductive justice, sex workers' rights, the list goes on. and what's on Newsnight? "people won't debate me"
