for my money I actually think its great that in the face of society that fetishises youth to such an uncomfortable degree, sexualising youth and even minors within the realms of supposed social acceptability, some artists are writing the opposite
like i get the "so there's this senior citizen" memes but like. older chars are often more established, have more autonomy, have more life experience, have pasts etc
and especially for those of us who are chronically ill or otherwise disabled, abled chars who are middle aged or older are actually more relatable than abled characters our age anyway
