I love that the Aylmer library calls my maman, gets her book requests and delivers/picks them up for her. Like personal reading shoppers.

I also love that she calls me to tell me about her books when she gets them.

Today's drop: 22 books.

Should last her until tomorrow. Maybe.
It's a volunteer program run by the librarians, from my understanding. She tells them what she's in the mood for, and they get a selection together. Not always exact titles. Sometimes she's vague with "I liked this and this."

And they always deliver something interesting.
My maman is very high risk, and she reads a lot, and this program is saving both our sanities because she's staying safe and entertained. And I'm less worried about her.

These librarians and volunteers are pandemic heroes.

Value librarians. Fund libraries. Hug books.
