It won’t make a difference, politically, for a lot of Texans but I hope a good chunk of them remember while Cruz was abdicating his leadership role and Abbott was pointing fingers and saying “not it!” the politicians that were actually trying to help this deep red state were Dems

Also, for the record, via Nextdoor and the Ring community app, I’ve seen a large amount of dyed in the wool republicans stepping up help their neighbors, offering food and warmth and transportation. It is their leaders who have failed us.
