gonna refrain from adding a ton to this list (read the comments, folks have great suggestions), but the other thing i forgot: spare/extra medication, if -at all- possible
i'm a midwesterner who has lived in NYC for 5 years and, for a while, didn't keep up on my go-bag bc, let's be real, if something nuclear/horrific happens in this city, we're dead â but the increasing number of climate disasters in recent years has got me back on my bullshit
