❗NEW OVERNIGHT❗: We've been able to bring more people back online as additional generation becomes available across the statewide grid.

As of Thursday, 7 a.m.: ~81,000 customers are without power from the peak of ~220,000 earlier this week. (1/5)
⌚The work will continue until everyone is restored, but please remember there is no set estimated restoration time.

The situation is still dynamic and this process will take time. Here's why:
⚡Power lines carry a LOT of energy. (2/5)
If we power everyone back up at the same time, we will overload the system. Just like we shut down power in sections, we will restore power in sections. We’ve been doing so since Wednesday.
(3/5)
⚡The ice/downed trees damaged our system. Some of that damage won’t even be obvious until we’ve reenergized our equipment.
🌳Fixing our equipment will also involve clearing broken tree limbs, many located on steep terrain.
(4/5)
⚡We will continue to prioritize our customers who have been out the longest.

We will continue to work as safely as possible. We will continue to update you on our restoration efforts as often as possible.
