The precipitous drop in LE due to Covid 19 is dramatic, but it tends to overshadow the steady decline in life expectancy for the past 6 years. The difference between 2019 and 2020 puts the exclamation point on the differential effect of Covid 19 on death rates as a function of race & ethnicity.
And when we look at the difference in others compared white people, 2020 started with vast differences that have widened dramtically.
