Attacking them as all evil. A modern partnership with savvy ethical business leaders, trade unions, consumers & politics is how to make lasting change. Starmer correctly identified fact that many business leaders are up for this & want to be good corporate citizens.
We haven’t heard a Labour leader acknowledge this for a while. There is good will for Starmer from business leaders many of whom do believe in a thing called society & want to be part of the solution. Interesting new point of definition for KS. He now needs to build on this.
Brexit also gives Labour an opportunity to forge closer links with business on a ruthlessly practical, future looking level without relitigating the whole row again.
