If you’ve never been sent an email saying “just to give you a heads up, a bunch of people on Facebook are planning to harass you at your office”, then I’m not very interested in your weary eye-rolling at the idea there might be a problem worth discussing
There are a lot of liberal men on here highly amused at the idea that there might be a chilly climate for discussing certain topics. I can only presume they missed the thousands of rape threats JK Rowling received for saying “female people exist, and female people matter”.
Also, you need better arguments than “nobody is being silenced, because I can hear you talking now”. The people with the security and tenacity to speak up *in spite of* the hostility they face are trying to make the climate safer for everyone to speak up.
