. @SenWarren @AOC @RepPressley - I am so SICK TO DEATH of hearing this absurd demand for $50k student loan forgiveness - STOP BEING RIDICULOUS - unless you want to just expand it to give *every* citizen a $50k check.

Having student loan debt does not make you a special class of citizen deserving of such extraordinary treatment. There are plenty of us who PAID our student loans, but took debt in other areas - home loans, personal loans, credit cards, medical debt - whatever - STOP BEING DUMB.
Some people who never had the opportunity to go to college had to take out loans to take care of parents or children. Some have been saddled by disproportionate tax burdens. Some crushed by natural disaster damage not covered by insurance. LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE LOTS OF DEBT.
This notion that the subset of Americans who made bad *decisions* about education are somehow exempt from dealing with consequences of those decisions is beyond insulting to those people saddled with debt due to things outside of their control - like medical conditions.
95% of the damn population could use a $50k windfall, FFS.
This is the kind of crap that fuels the GOP claims about "radical socialism" and makes independents sit out elections.
