looking for good things to help me think about the sentence as a literary unit. what are your favourite texts about sentences? what are your favourite sentences?

should note that i read the brian dillon book on sentences earlier this year and had basically forgotten all about it until
just reminded in this thread, so i'm looking for something that sticks a little more, soz
thanks for all suggestions, keep them coming. since language poets are now well represented in the replies i should perhaps say that this question was partially prompted by some recent revisiting of lyn hejinian's work
interesting that so many of the suggestions are for american writers. i wonder if a concern with a sentence as a literary unit is a particularly american phenomenon. very interested in non-english language writers too
