2/ This dispute began because of unwarranted compulsory redundancy of the longest serving staff member Lorne Boswell weeks before Christmas, in the middle of a pandemic, with furlough still in place but has escalated to the recognition that the leadership is not fit for purpose.
Our General Secretary is firing off slanderous accusations without due diligence and bringing our Trade Union & the wider TU movement into disrepute. What’s possibly worse is our President & Council are complicit and negligent in allowing this to happen. We need an investigation
We call on the membership to recognise the very serious flaws in our union structures that have been exposed through this dispute. This needs investigation by @The_TUC & @ScottishTUC as the whole movement is being brought into disrepute but that can only happen by members action.
