Dearie me the ignorance is astounding. As a member of the Royal Navy he was involved in 7 sea battles, mentioned in despatches, awarded the Croix De Guerre with palm & The Greek cross. Now looking at your profile it’s clear you know nothing. Philip didn’t exactly have the most opulent of beginnings even for a Greek Prince. His family were exiled when he was a kid. Oh and he didn’t become a member of the British royal family until after the war
So you’ve classed him as a foreigner for being Greek. Well that Greek man joined the navy and served in battle for this country. What the hell have you ever done? Nothing! Oh and if you knew anything about the history of our royals. You’ll know that our kings
We’re warrior kings. They fought in battle alongside their men. Many in the modern age have also fought in wars. Not from safe distances but in the thick of it. So yep they’ve served their country whilst you sit and carp back.
