To bring Ted Cruz up to speed on what exactly is happening in his state as he jaunts off to Cancun:
My 80 year old grandmother slept with the heat on in her car so that she didn’t risk catching covid by staying with family when the heat and power went out in her home.

We were told to stock up on groceries, but not that we would all lose power, so many families already financially stressed wasted hundreds on groceries that went bad in two days when they lost power

That would be bad enough, but grocery stores and restaurants can’t even restock because our INCOMPETENT state government can’t manage to de-ice the roads and make them passable for trucks.

Homes have been flooded with freezing water from burst pipes. Some of these homes have been in disrepair since HURRICANE HARVEY.

There’s no water so WE CAN’T EVEN WASH OUR FUCKING HANDS, in the middle of a pandemic that the state has ALSO criminally mismanaged that has already claimed the lives of more than 40,000 Texans.

Hospitals, already overburdened due to COVID, have been slammed with carbon monoxide poisoning cases, most of them children. They are now having to EVACUATE patients because due to the lack of clean water.

Entire families have suffocated in their homes due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Entire families have been burned alive inside their homes after falling asleep near fireplaces or candles in order to stay warm.

AT THIS VERY SECOND, NO ONE IN STATE LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN POWER WILL BE RESTORED.

AND TED CRUZ IS IN FUCKING CANCUN?!?!?!
