A year ago today, 17,026 friends met us at the Tacoma Dome to hear a message: “It ain’t me; it’s US!”

Tribal members from Tulalip, Puyallup, Lummi, Muckleshoot, Swinomish, Nisqually, Yakama, Alaska, and others, opened the night with a powerful #MMIW song. 2/13

They shared a message that resonated in the hearts of everyone; exposing the extreme violence that indigenous women face. In 2016 alone, 5712 incidents of missing and murdered Native American women were reported, with 84% of NA women experiencing violence in their lifetime. 3/13

Following that powerful and humbling message, our friends in @portugaltheman refocused the energy in the room, and reminded us that we must respond to injustice with our fists in the air, marching to the beat of our collective hearts. #NotMeUs 4/13

Some our friends in solidarity came out, too! Seattle City Council Members Kshama Sawant and Teresa Mosqueda, as well as former Seattle City Council candidate and Sanders campaign Washington State Field Director, Shaun Scott all came out to rev up the massive crowd. #NotMeUs 5/13

Youth activist and certified boss @Jamie_Margolin gets the crowd on all the emotions, touch some hearts and brought some tears, with a message of inspiration directed at all the activists and organizers in the crowd, young and old! 6/13

Actor and ally @TimRobbins1 made a call to action for rally goers: show up to the polls and have your voices heard! 7/13

7th district congresswoman @PramilaJayapal stumps for her Seattle constituents, introducing @janeosanders and Sen. @BernieSanders on to the stage! 8/13

The People’s President & First Lady take to the stage! 9/13

The crowd erupted in cheers, nearly drowning out the voice of the Senator from Vermont! 10/13

As @BernieSanders gave his famous stunt speech, a mixture of thunderous applause and somber silence filled the 434,699sq. foot Tacoma Dome. #NotMeUs 11/13

It doesn’t matter how many times one can watch this powerful speech; it hits you in the soul every time! 12/13

As the rally came to an end, @BernieSanders & all the incredible vols, surrogates, & performers looked up at me as I counted down “3!... 2!... 1!... NOT ME US” for the largest vol clicks of the 2020 campaign! Tacoma, you really showed us the love.
