The GOP and Libertarians, want exactly what's happening in Texas. Big government out of things. All things private. BC see if the government is involved it's incompetent.

And it's just a logistics problem and not some kind of ideology for why it fails.

A private company ALWAYS
ALWAYS, repeating

The bottom line.

This isn't to say the government also doesn't check the price tag of things and balks.

But the government *has* to make sure things are safe. They have to have some kind of regulations bc that's baked in. (And as we saw with Trump...)
Good government has a baseline.

Federal government (before Trump) had a baseline.

And like it's not something fancy. You gotta build that factory over there, this piece of machinery over there and it can withstand any weather.
If the fed government forced corporations, emphasis on corporations, to have a baseline and the loophole is simply privatizing a necessity...

This is an absolute failure both to society and within the government.
And if you think this thought is just some wild thing, I want you to consider to the USPS.

People in power of the USPS want to make it incompetent so it can be privatized.
(And it's not for it to be run better. I've worked for non profits and for private companies. Lemme to you tell the private companies are always, always run on bottom lines and duct tape.)

As bad as they are making the USPS, they still have a baseline.
They still have a federal mandate to be good despite the higher ups working against them.

That baseline is why we managed to win the election.

Tho, your Christmas gifts got lost.
Now imagine the USPS privatized.

Folks in rural America probably wouldn't even get spam ads in the mail, much less anything vital.
But ppl in cities would only receive things from Amazon. Bc let's be honest, Amazon has and will pay to play.

AND they would make sure anything you ever ordered on Etsy never made it to you.

Bc they could. Bc they could make sure that private mail delivery did that.
Anyway, I'm going to close this out by saying, there shouldn't be a single private prison in America.

When it comes to necessities, that should never be privatized and power is a necessity. Water is a necessity. A home is a necessity. So is food and healthcare.
TLDR: Every political topic you can think of is connected. It's...intersectionality even.
