Hear me out on this.

What if instead of pushing people away, we welcomed them in?

What if instead of treating neighbours like enemies, we showed them love?

I’ve had a lot of conversations with many of you over the last few days.

🧵
Conversations about how our community, the police, and all orders of government engage with those who are unhoused.

It’s clear we need to do better.

We have a choice about who we want to be as a city and as a province.
For me, the choice is obvious: it’s housing, mental health, harm reduction, and it’s backing all this up with real action.

And it’s about prioritizing people all year round, and not just when the temperatures drop.

Demand better for your unhoused neighbours.
And demand better from your elected officials, including me.
