On the courts, Democrats are the kids who give the bully their lunch money without conflict to avoid the unpleasantness of being stuffed in a locker.

For those who don't know: blue slips allow Republicans to block district court appointments, if one Republican Senator from that district objects.

It's how, say, Texas courts end up being full of trash Republican judges, even when Dems are in control of the WH and Senate.

Republicans all but ignored blue slips while they were in power. So Dems holding to them for District Court is, you know, the classic Democrat thing of hugging the distinguished gentlemen from across the aisle who just wants to humiliate trans kids... because COMITY

Some Dems are saying that doing this is what the GOP did: ie blue slips for District court but no Circuit.

The GOP did it that way, BECAUSE IT HELPED THE GOP!!!

Blue slipping allows the GOP to keep court control of the terrible laws RED STATE GOVERNORS pass.

The GOP doesn't NEED conservatives in the SDNY, because Democrats AREN'T TRYING TO BASH TRANS KIDS AND TAKE AWAY A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE.

They need those conservative district court judges in Texas and Florida, where their governors try to TAKE AWAY ALL THE VOTING RIGHTS

I don't see why Democrats can't seem to understand: If the GOP is for it, it's because it HELPS REPUBLICANS.

The GOP isn't like the Dems. The GOP ONLY CARES ABOUT WINNING.

I give up for today. The Democrats never learn, and never want to learn and never want to waste a *shred* of political capital fighting for the third branch of government.
