Update from Austin, late afternoon Wednesday:
1. Still no power at our house, not one minute since Sunday night. The house is shockingly not THAT bad temp wise during the day and water still running. Hoping that continues.

2. The one improvement today is that the streets are better, especially the main ones. Side streets still a bit of a mess. Proceed very cautiously.
3. Other than the streets, itâs unfortunately still really bad and getting worse here. The old trees of central Austin cannot stand this much ice. Seeing limbs falling everywhere. This is going to make power situation even worse.
4. Saw many floods in streets from broken water mains. Just pipes gushing water into the street. 
5. And of course, the hundreds of thousands still without power. Iâve heard so many terrible stories over the past few days I canât even get into.
6. Food supplies are running extremely low throughout town. Lines for the few supermarkets that are open are very long, if you can get there.
7. Suffice it to say, things are not going well for many people in Texas. Hoping for a better report tomorrow...
