$9.6 BILLION CA RELIEF PACKAGE: The Assembly, Senate, and Governor have reached an agreement for emergency relief to individuals and small businesses

Here's what's in the coming package:
Support for Individuals:
• $600 tax rebate for all California EITC recipients for 2020 tax year
• $600 tax rebate for all tax filers up to $75,000 income
• $600 additional grant families enrolled in CalWORKs

(this ONLY applies to tax filers who ALREADY filed 2020 taxes!!!)
HIGHLY encourage you to file for the Earned Income Tax Credit esp if you are making modest income for 2020 (which a lot of people are!!) and get your extra $600!

But wait there's more for individual Californians:
-$600 additional grant for individuals enrolled in SSI or CAPI
-$5.7 million supplemental stimulus payments for low-income Californians
Support for small business:
• $2.1B in additional funding for the state’s COVID relief small business and non-profit grant program
• $2B in tax cuts focused on small businesses
• $116M in fee cuts by waiving various fees for two years for heavily impacted service industries
Other key reinvestments:
• Cut Restorations to the UC, CSU, & Judiciary
• CalWORKs Eligibility Expansion
• Federal Child Care Funds
• Student Assistance for Community College Students
• Support for Food and Diaper Banks
• Support for Housing for the Harvest
