This morning I went to get gas. Then I was supposed to go to the grocery store and OfficeMax to get ink. Driving down, something said go get the ink first. I went in, got the ink and noticed my neighbor in the print area. Her mom died a couple days ago.
I wasn't going to go over. I was going to leave. But something said go over. She was happy to see me. She was trying to figure out her new phone and she couldn't get the images to send to them to print. She looked overwhelmed.
I told her to text them to me. I'd attach them to email and send them. No problem. I got the images and then asked her if she wanted them cropped before sending. And I showed her what I was going to do. I asked the clerk would they become blurry if I cropped them. They said No.
So I finished the crop, sent them. She said, "Girl, God puts people where he thinks they need to be because I just couldn't figure this out. My mind just isn't here." I told her I understood. Then the pictures were ready. They came out nice and clear. She was happy.
He then told her the price and she began to fumble around in her wallet looking for her debit card. "I know it's in here I just had it!" She was so overwhelmed. So I told her to move and I stuck my card in the machine. She goes, you don't have to do that! I said I want to do it!
She gave me the biggest hug, and two more when we got to our cars. She kept saying Thank You. I've been there. I know that overwhelming feeling of losing Mom. I know her mind was scattered. I'm just glad I went there first instead of the grocery store.
