When things got politically sketchy, Texas leadership led a charge to succeed. REALLY? Do you know what it would have cost Texas, repaying all the emergency relief, covid relief? Floods, hurricanes, fires, etc? TX has gotten a lot of emergency relief! Yet...

When your Trumpublicans weren't getting their way, they immediately went to succession as the only option. Brilliant. Now, the State is in dire straits & the PEOPLE are suffering because TX had to remain their own, outdated power grid, w/o preparation.

Emergency relief has been called upon, while also being criticized? Lemme tell you why that upsets me! 3 years ago, we had 2 blizzards in one week with 4+ feet of snow. No power, no water, no heat, in the Pocono mountains for 7 full days.

By no powers, I mean: No gas at stations, no atms & markets opened with generators for lighting but cash only, when no one could get cash. Firewood sold out everywhere. Water sold out everywhere. It took FEMA days to arrive. When they did?

They established a camp station where they had generators so folks could go take a warm shower, charge phones, get water & hot soup. But, you had to drive down the mtns, half hour from anywhere, to Shawnee Ski, to get there when there was no gas.

Today, I hear FEMA is in TX with generators, providing all that could be asked, doing all they can, with impassable roads, & elected officials are still wanton for what to do? BE GRATEFUL!!! Help each other! And remember this with the next election! It matters! Vote for CARE!
