Lessons learned from going through a freeze recently...

-Quick Thread-

We had little food, little water, lots of love, lots of drama, lots of hard work, no electricity nor heat for 30+ hours, and 8 degrees outside.
The brain kicks in and focuses on survival and eliminates everything else.

All the positive things we talk about here kick in when in the struggle- when you have to lead yourself and family to positivity and movement forward.
You really don’t appreciate anything you have at the deepest level until you have struggled to get it or struggled to get it back.

You don’t really understand what another person’s journey is like until you go through it yourself.
We are so dependent on electricity it shows our vulnerabilities.

Others are always there ready to help us when we need it, if we just look.
Even if you’re the most positive person the struggle will test your patience more than you know...

however you just learn to smile and keep going because that’s the only thing that will work.
It can always be worse, keep smiling.

We have so much to be grateful for. Always.
