A thread...

With 5 years of being an entrepreneur I've decided to write on what lessons I've learned over the years thus far.

~RT or Like this post to save it for later~
(1) Serving

Likely one of the biggest lessons I've learned is that business is about serving and helping others.

If you want your business to flourish you'll need to excel especially in this area, all of your actions and interactions should revolve around this.
(2) Education

Education is very important, the key phrase here though is "continuous education".

Always be open and willing to learn more.

Do you think doctors get their degrees and just stop learning when they're finished? Absolutely not.

Educate yourself constantly.
(3) Adaptability

2020 has either strengthened people or chewed them up and spit them out.

Part of being adaptive is through consistent innovation or improvement.

Without consistent striving for improvement in both you as a person and your business, you'll struggle.
(4) Discipline

We all have days where we aren't motivated, or don't feel like accomplishing daily tasks.

But guess what?

If you don't do them, no one else will.

Take action, day in day out.

Find a purpose & goals, write them down and pursue them.
(5) Patience

I know I've struggled with "not feeling like I'm where I want to be yet" this is a common feeling.

But you've got to trust the process, great things take time and you need to know this.

Be persistent and stay patient while working hard & good things will come
(6) Relationships

Business is a transaction between seller and consumer at a basic level.

But everyone who buys from you is a human being, you need to be able to communicate properly.

You can greatly improve your communication skills by practicing basically any sales job.
(7) Organization

Success is a byproduct of structure, by using systems, routines, lists etc. you are able to keep everything neat and tidy.

This is one of the key factors I believe that helped me get to where I am today.

There are plenty of audible books available on this.
(8) Comfort

If you get comfortable, and aren't pushing outside your "comfort zone" be prepared to plateau or decline in your venture.

Always strive to push outside your comfort zone.

Talk to new people, connect, engage, network.

If it makes you nervous move towards it.
(9) Resilience

We all have road bumps that arise either in our careers or lives, but this is life.

The ability to bounce back, regardless of the challenges you face will be one of the biggest determining factors of your success.

If things get tough, stick with it.
(10) Self-belief

If you don't believe in yourself and what you do, people will pick up on this and it will create challenges.

As stated above you need to find your purpose, your drive that will ultimately guide you in the right direction.

Have confidence in what you do.
