Rush Limbaugh did a lot of things wrong in this life, as we are all wont to do. He was homophobic, mocking people with AIDS; he was racist; he hated women, even making fun of Chelsea Clinton when she was only 12 years old.

None of us are perfect.

But truly the biggest thing he did wrong in his 70 years is not dying on January 12, 1951, so that we could have lived without his vile personality and his encouraging of hatred in a world where love is needed most of all.

He was an irredeemable man. We were worse for his existence. We are better with his absence.
