a few months back, @IamSatarra mentioned looking into our bantu ancestors and i heard her, but didn't really know where to start. so i started reading "African Cosmology of the Bantu-Kongo". then i reread it. and reread it.
something kept bringing me back. fast forward to last week, i found another great resource from @TheKraalTWEETS: "The Kraal Guide to African Spirituality Vol 1" (link below) and WHEW. things are aligning.
@PeoplesOracle has been telling us for weeks to reevaluate the idea of free-will:
"This indoctrination into the myth of free-will has not illuminated the key to our liberation. Instead, it has created the most successful campaign of settler colonialism in human history."

i didn't need the confirmation, but i got it anyway. let's start with the kongo word for devil: nkadi ampêmba. "This term does not actually designate a being, but a state of mind." (pg. 9)
in fact, it says the devil is not a personal being, but
rather a bad mental influence.
"M’ful’ambi (bad mental suggestion) can come from 3 sources:
⁃ personal desires (nzînunu) that are fruits of free will
⁃ of a living person
⁃ of an evil spirit" (pg. 10)

it takes it a step further to say:
"The Bukôngo teaches through the myth of Mahûngu that the abuse of free will has resulted in the actualization of evil and the fall of humanity. It caused Mpina Nza, the Word, to separate the heavens from the earth." (pg. 33)
sound familiar?

sound familiar?
@PeoplesOracle says "imagination is the beginning of freedom. First, seeing clearly what is, then daring to envision an alternate reality. The will is the life force that compels us to bring down an imagined reality from the fantasy and dream worlds into the material world."
in the spirit of freeing my mind (a special thanks @ElevatedConjure conjure for putting me on), my next read will be @RPhillipsEsq's "Black Quantum Futurism: Theory & Practice. the colonization of our mind-body's run deeper than we know, but we got people tryna help free us.
THIS is why i use sidereal astrology. THIS is why imma need y'all to give @PeoplesOracle her coin. flowers are nice, but so is survival.
