There's gonna be a lot of tut-tutting from Conservative Twitter today. A lot of faux-offended jackoffs pretending to shatter their monocles and bemoan the state of discourse, "so much for the tolerant left, celebrating a death, what happened to unity?" bla bla bla fuckin' BLA.
But here's the thing.

If you GENUINELY despise the fractured state of our nation today, our seemingly complete inability to unify, our us-vs.-them eternal culture war...

You can lay ALL that shit at Rush Limbaugh's feet. He fired the first shots.
Before FOX News even existed, Rush Limbaugh was vilifying the left on a daily basis for no good reason. He was the original mass-broadcasted demagogue propagandist who realized how much money could be made by pitting the sides against each other.
To increase his own personal fortune, Rush poisoned the brains of untold millions of Americans by telling them what they wanted to hear, and scapegoating all their problems on them damn lib'ruls.
You can draw a direct line from Rush Limbaugh to FOX News, the election of George W. Bush, the war in Iraq, birtherism, the election of Donald Trump, the rise of Qanon and the January 6 coup attempt.

It ALL started with Rush, baby.

And now, here we are.
All the left has EVER done to increase our cultural divide is OCCASIONALLY respond to the conservative hate machine in kind. Because we don't always have time to indulge your bad faith.

And Rush was the king of bad faith.
So yeah, fuck him. I'm glad he's dead. Can't wait to turn his grave into the hottest dance club in town.
