I think I should finally address the importance of Rose’s speech in the Last Jedi, of not fighting what you hated and saving what you love. This speech has gotten a lot of flack from SW fans, including myself, of being contradictory in the context. (1/7)
Within the context, Finn was saving what he loved by fighting what he hated. These two statements aren’t independent of one another. But it’s important to remember the importance of Rose’s words. (2/7)
The Star Wars fandom has become incredibly split over the years and has become a straight up war. Comparing it to the Battle of Geonosis would be an understatement. (3/7)

People who dislike the sequels accuse it of being ANTI MALE and SJW, while the other side, ST Stans, accuse those who aren’t fans of being SEXIST, and IT ALL BEING SUBJECTIVE. (4/7)
It’s okay to dislike certain parts of a franchise but people need to remember that what you hate has a large fanbase. Criticism and praise is important but remember if it’s all you do, you forget what’s important. You can’t be obnoxious. (5/7)
