In our @alzheimerssoc fundraising briefing this afternoon we had the pleasure of hearing from one of our amazing Legacy supporters, who has left us a gift in their Will, about why they support us and what it means to them. Powerful and inspiring stuff. #legacygiving
They also are signed their sister up to run a marathon, do 2 of our Treks themselves, got involved with a comedy event AND are getting their daughters school involved with some grass roots fundraising.
Therefore smashing the fallacy that supporters who leave gifts in their Wills should be isolated and untouchable to the rest of the charity. Stop it! They are your most committed supporters. Stop making assumptions and start giving options.
We as fundraisers look out and see millions of supporters. A supporter looks in and sees one charity. Start acting like one.
