The differences between how transmasculine individuals are treated and how transfeminine individuals are treated comes down to misogyny, pure and simple.
Transfemmes are villainized and attacked, bc the worst thing a “man” could do is be feminine. Transmascs are ignored and minimized, bc of course “women” should want to be more masculine.
Once you see this pattern, it becomes frighteningly transparent in nearly all transphobic arguments.
“Trans women are really just men trying to get into women’s spaces!” = the worst thing a “man” could do is feminize.
No discussion is ever made (that I have seen), about how transphobia forces trans men to invade women’s spaces regularly.

“Trans men are really just women trying to escape misogyny!” = it’s perfectly reasonable that every woman would want to escape womanhood!
No discussion is ever made by cis individuals (that I have seen) about the unique challenges trans women face by entering misogyny.

I would like to personally thank Twitter user missy andry for beautifully providing an example for the class:
See, by this standard, trans women are villainized + trans men are minimized. My pronouns are the given basis to ignore my argument entirely. This is misogyny.

Some further examples of the transparency of TERF “logic”, and how it all, inevitably, comes down to misogyny. It all unravels under scrutiny. TERF “arguments” depend entirely on internalized and societal misogyny, straw men, and shock value of unsubstantiated “concerns”.
