When you are convinced that you are constantly under siege by the left, liberals, Neo marxists, the “woke”, etc. then the daily anger and resentment you wake up with easily gets blamed on them instead of terrible ideology that has radicalized your thinking.
It becomes and ideology of embattlement. An ideology that teaches you that you are always at war with the left, liberals, etc and it turns all your relationships into a “whose side are you on?!” Qualifier. In turn, this leaves folks isolated or in echo chambered silos.
Where they usually descend into more and more radicalization. It’s a never ending cycle.
Jesus and His truth only transcends this if you are truly dedicated to it. If not, then you will find a way to appropriate it for the purposes of your political tribe. It will not be something transcendent calling you to something higher but it will be an accessory of affirmation
What it should be is a regulator to us all! Lord, help us.
