2/9)Senate elections are held by Single Transferable Votes which means the MPs don't just vote one person but can give their first, second, third preference. When the quota (calculated by formula below) is completed, certain % of votes can be transferred to next preference of MPs
3/9)For Islamabad, elections are on 2 seats, 1 General & 1 women. Whole assembly will vote on each seat, since Govt has simple majority it should win both seats which is why it is being insinuated as a vote of no confidence if govt losses a seat specially general.

5/9) In Sindh, for General seat, 21 votes are needed, PPP have 97 so they can get 4 seats

6/9)In KP & Balochistan they have 1 extra minority seat with 7 General, 2 Women, 2 Technocrat.
For General Seats quota, 19 votes are needed, PTI has around 100 adding BAP & PMLQ so will get 5 seats & opposition 2.
For Minority seat whole assembly will vote and PTI will win.

7/9)For 2 technocrat & 2 women seats PTI can win all 4 by reaching the 49 votes quota in single transfer vote system by dividing equal votes for its candidates & transferring surplus if needed. 8/9)For Balochistan too many players in the assembly so tough to say. Total 65 seats. Govt may get around 7-8 seats.

9/9)PTI has 8 senators elected in 2018, if all those nominated win the 2021 elections PTI will become the biggest party in Senate with 28 senators. With BAP, pro FATA Independents, GDA, PMLQ, MQM they will have simple majority & can elect its own Chairman Senate.
