On 16th January, Shiv was illegally detained by Haryana police who didn’t inform his friends or family. The very first news of his detention was shared on 31st January, after almost two weeks. On 24th January though, some policemen showed up at his house, ...
...asked his mother to tell Shiv to visit the police station, got few papers signed from her (which she was not able to read), and left, while they had already detained Shiv 8 days ago...
His friends mentioned how on both 28th December and 12th January, when Nodeep was arrested from their protest, Shiv Kumar didn’t even go to Kundli industrial area as he had been unwell since a long time...
They also told us that his specs were in their tent at Singhu all this while, without which he can’t see at all.

The most outrageous part of his detention apart from the fact he was never present there while the alleged charges on him is breaking into the factory,...
is that after more than a month now, his family, friends and even lawyers hasn’t met or talked to him once. When they visited the police station on 2nd February, they were told he has been quarantined for 15 days...
His family worry that Shiv has been beaten up and tortured so badly that the police is afraid to let anyone meet him and get to know about it. Shiv’s arrest came to their knowledge after he asked one of the inmates who was getting released to call his family, ...
that person also told Shiv’s friends that he was so badly beaten up that he could hardly walk.

While his parents are happy to see the support Nodeep is getting and the fact that she has gotten bail in two of the three cases, they wish for Shiv to get the same support, ...
which he has clearly not been getting. Shiv has been working and fighting since a long time as a part of Mazdoor Adhikar Sangahtan.

Demand for his immediate release and for strict action against those responsible for perpetrating conspiracy and violence against them.
