Have to get someting off my chest.. Wanna know why #COVID19 vaccine rollout is so slow, at least in NH and probably in other places as well? A short thread 1/7
Here it is. Each shot has to be administered by a licensed medical professional. A nurse, pharmacist, physician, ect. I've been asked to participate in these clinics, and do so willingly 2/7
For all the billons of dollars the US has for vaccine rollout, want to know how many of those dollars make it to healthcare workers at vaccine clinics - you guessed it. ZERO 3/7
It actually costs me money and time. Any while everyone is grateful, I should not be seen as free labor 4/7
So I've been asked volunteer my time to administer vaccines, which I will gladly do, after spending the last 12 months on the front lines fighting COVID19 illness 5/7
And when this is all done, people will once again forget about front line healthcare workers just like before 6/7
So, do you want to speed up vaccine administration?? PAY HEALTHCARE WORKERS TO DO IT. Don't depend on our good will and ask us to volunteer. None of us are in it for the $$, but we all have bills and needs, and it's the right thing to do. 7/7
