Westerners appropriate Hindu darsanas to make it look like western. We know this phenomena too well.
What might not be very obvious is an Indian appropriating/obscuring Western theories of mind/ feminism to make it look Bharathiya. Eg- Alternate healing, new age therapies et al
The latter is more insidious in my opinion as the already gullible Indian due to colonization consumes a product- be it yoga, natural therapies, meditation "techjiques" believing it to be Hindu when the underlying theories are western appropriations of mind- be it carl Jung,
A new wave of western feminism called- divine feminism which is using the Goddesses' motifs, meaning and metaphors for their new version and wave of feminism. They are selling products like " Awakening inner Goddess" which seems Hindu but the underlying ideology is "oppressive .
Patriarchy" , misogyny, power, privilege and all those isms that is very much part of explicit public discourse hiding behind - body work, divine feminine, energetic healing- oh there are too many fancy words for this BS
How can one detect, recognize such charlatans who leverage on the dominant narratives to sell healing and health?

Look for popular psychology terminologies like unconscious mind, shadow work, Soul work, accessing your inner child as the background blurb for their "healing
Interventions or techniques. Oh another terminology - light work, dna activation through sound - hertz meditation- it goes on and on. These charlatans study our daesanas closely but their business confidence is usually shaky, so they situate all our Hindu practices on western
language /theories for their business venture.

"Eating mindfully " has a better sales proposition than Ahaara niyama!

The most ludicrous healing they sell is sexual healing based on kundakini tantra. Now , look at the twist here!
They often advocate permissiveness of sexuality of the west through their kundalini awakening courses! Courtesy- Osho! He was the master of selling meditation through western psychology of Freud.
I consider such distorted "healers" as nothing less than charlatans. They bring bad name and malign our darshanas and shastras of yoga, ayurveda, bhuta shuddhi, prana vidya, etc. They are dharma drohis. Not only that, they are doing more damage to the already confused Hindus.
And they are no use to fight against the hegemony of western pharmacology and medicine.
Hindus- do not get fooled by these quacks in the garb of healers.

Stopping here
Such jnana vybhachaaris are Asuri ganas lurking around us disguising as devas. They are also essentially #antisanatan forces selling new age healing that perpetuates Avidya and Ajnana.

They need to be annihilated... ruthlessly.
