That time of year when getting Overseer Nutrient Budgets comes along.

The farmer data duplication, cost to get duplicated data entered into another system. $100s/hr for data entry. Drives me crazy.

Ownership. I would have thought the customer is the farmer. They pay the Overseer Subs, and cost to get Nutrient Budget done.

Yet the integration is sending stuff out of Overseer to Councils etc, not getting stuff in to save duplication, manual effort & cost.

Meantime

Add @Stats_NZ then want annual survey data in another form / area of Government.

‘All farms will have a Farm Plan’ been the catch cry of recent years. Not sure if it’s even been define what’s will be in it, how, where.

Can we just start at the ground & work up? @DamienOConnorMP

Surely running the risk of over complicating everything, verse having workable & practical things to get right first, then build on, and up.

Like H&S, it is never an end point, always continuous improvement, new learnings, science, technology etc.
