Intelligence > Diversity
Intelligence can provide diverse perspectives.

Diversity can't always provide intelligent perspectives.
My group of intelligent peers naturally tends to be kinda diverse to be honest.

But it's not forced diversity.

Right now it leans heavily Asian... But it has representatives from all backgrounds.

The point is just focus on the meritocracy, let diversity happen if it happens.
Forcing diversity for the sake of diversity, under the guise of "different perspectives" does have some merit.

Just not as much merit as a meritocracy.

If someone from a different background has something to contribute, let their ideas speak for themselves; they'll be included.
I focus on meritocracy.

And I seem to find myself surrounded by people of all colors, genders, perspectives.

But - and this is crucial - I chose them for their merits first.

Their "diversity" to me was incidental.

They all earned their place at the table.

Just how I operate.
I understand that my view on this is a conservative view (today's villains of society), and that I'm somehow minimizing doing my part to counterbalance some apparent privilege.

I'm no counterbalance.

That doesn't interest me.

I'm building something grand and I need the best.
