It is OBVIOUS that he's a contemptibly stupid man, a misogynist, a racist. And, now, the kind of man who closes ranks around a crime of violence.

That's the kind of person he is. The measure of his character, his judgement, his fitness for his job. /2

There are people who work with this man every single day, year in year out, paid to observe what he does and how he behaves, to tell us how we're governed.

They seem to have missed these things.

People who either missed news of a violent crime being committed in their own building, with cleaners, security guards and staffers gossiping around them for two years; Or knew about it, did inadequate sleuthing, and said nothing for two years. /4

I would prefer that I wasn't governed by a contemptibly stupid misogynist racist rape-defender. But I never got that choice, because he was never made accountable for being a contemptibly stupid misogynist racist rape-defender, because the press gallery wouldn't bring it up. /5

Then we, the audience, get lectured at by journalists explaining why it's so unreasonable to be dark at them for underperforming.

It's not good enough. I don't care what you *think* your job is; As a voter, an audience and a paying customer, I don't think y'all are doing it. /6
