The biggest reason of the division b/w ppl of different ideologies, across the globe is Social Media& Big Techs.

If you watch one video, like one article,or search about a leader, their algorithms will keep suggesting you similar things everywhere.Within a month you r indoctrinated
It is because you keep reading articles , watching videos , interacting with ppl , with similar views, ideologies. So you start living in a bubble and you have no idea what's happening outside. When someone points out the 'other' aspect , your confirmation bias makes you angry
Its not that you are bad or ignorant . You are simply ill informed. So imagine a new kid with no prior knowledge of Politics or any ideology, when he/she enters into that web , he/she has no way to know the alternative vision, version. One is convinced abt what one sees everywhere
People live in their bubble and hence are completely indoctrinated of those ideas they see everywhere. It takes real effort to go beyond that bubble and try to understand the other point of view..Most of us don't have time or wish to do so. So our bubble keeps getting bigger
Yes Politics has used this ..Yes Leaders want to way voters in their favour. But Its the big tech companies who have provided them with this tool. Few professionals sitting in a room can indoctrinate millions of youths.. It's scary, isn't it?
The only solution is to reach out to those who dont agree with us. Listen to them and try to put across your point in a civil/ polite manner .It may take time but its the only way out. We can not make enemies out of our own ppl. We need communication to burst those bubbles.
Also on individual level. In this age of Information explosion , you have to restrict the sources you can trust on. Like if someone is talking about Mental helath he/she must have degree/experience in that field . You can not trust any random idiot talking about anything
Like someone who has not read a single book is giving a lecture on Shakespeare or someone with little knowledge of Polity/Economy/History trying to give you constitutional/Fiscal lectures. or Some1 with no knowledge of ancient India giving you lecture on Vedas/Upnishads...
Internet and SM has given platform where any 'idiot' can talk about anything. If you are not careful , it will fill your mind with garbage. So limit your sources. Verify them. Understand if they are capable enough to talk about things they are talking. Also cross verify it
It is tendency for us these days that we read one book on Society and we call ourselves sociologist . We read one novel and consider ourselves an authority on the literature. That limited knowledge is dangerous if ppl start following us...
Every text has a context , historical background and situational influence . If someone is talking about something , are they equipped enough to understand these aspects? Are they capable enough to draw the right conclusion ?We need to ask these questions before following nyone
So we need to be really careful regarding whom we follow , listen to and agree with. We need to make sure , we are not being used as a propaganda tool... Because in this digital age , We are the Product & everyone wants a share of our attention...We need to be careful about it.
