The fundamental issue is not due to 'trads' showing the RW their place. MOST of these edgy trolls are in fact 'neo-trads' seeking acceptance from the more scholarly ones on the site.

The scholarly position has always been to engage in a nuanced discussion. In fact, most of the scholarly folks are in fact very well read and traditionally educated folks who have always lived by the tenets they strive to uphold.
On the other hand, many of the trolls who have spawned this discussion are at best new entrants, struggling to find a foothold and acceptance among the 'elite' (in their mind at least).
This has spawned two probllems. The first is due in large part to the innate nature of the platform: the site rewards such behavior, the 'least-common-denominator' path to prominence, if you will.
Issue is, these new entrants are in fact the vast majority of the population (on site) to whom many ascribe the epithet of 'trad'. That may be incorrect in principle, nevertheless, that is what has been normalized. Thus, it is hardly surprising that they are held in contempt.
The second problem: 'neo-trads' are hardly rooted in tradition. Aside from the abject lack of traditional śāstric-knowledge, MOST if not all of these trolls (neo-trads) are hardly practitioners. Quite the contrary. They seek clout and should (/have been) treated as such.
It is only due to the renewed influx of such hordes in large numbers that the problem appears to have aggravated. Otherwise, this dichotomy has was always been a persistent undercurrent in this sphere of discourse.
The doxing, etc. too far-predate the inception of this site. Even before this site became a hub for such discussion, several discussions would mutate into ugly personal attacks, even among the some of the very respectable scholar. Only that such matters did not make headlines.
While I am a large proponent of the comforts afforded by anonymity on this site, it does also spawn many pretentious players. The only 'solution' to that is for those interested in enriching their knowledge to carefully dissect what the user has to offer.
However, it is important to make the distinction between the present political RW and the traditionalists (in the true sense of the term). It is even more important to weed out the trolls who seek prominence in the latter camp.
Ultimately, it is indisputable that some people are simply objectively better than others in the śāstra-s. H are readily accepting of elitism in secular-spheres. Similarly the innate elitism (rooted in śāstric-knowledge + traditional practice), must be acknowledged.
Since the neo-trads are bitter about the latter, they resort to baser means in quest for clout.

The sooner these troublesome elements are rooted out, the better, lest all 'trads' are collectively labeled as gεηocιdε-wishing rogues.
