We are the only #mask factory in #Amercia that makes our own filter material. Called “meltblown” this ⁦ @armbrust_usa⁩ machine is designed to run for 4 days straight.

After that it takes 8 hours to clean residual plastic from the die head before we can start again.
I’ll give you two guesses why it’s called “Meltblown”
It’s then cut into rolls about 6.8” wide before being turned into masks.
The rolls of meltblown can be made into different lengths depending on the application and machine. Monique is shown here, well, to make them look bigger than they are 😅 (about 4’ diameter)
Finally, the meltblown is rolled between two layers of hydrophobic spunbond, where we fold and sonic weld the three fabric layers together.
