There is an amendment that removes the requirement of doctors with a conscientious objection to provide information to patients seeking abortion. You don't have to be a genius to see how that could impact access for vulnerable patients or those in an area with a few doctors
There's an amendment requiring doctors to provide counselling info to every patient. There is an amendment that replaces the word ‘person’ with ‘woman’. This was attempted in NSW too and I can see no reason for it except to explicitly exclude patients of all genders from accessing care.
