Thread on reasons why I love Fire force (SPOILERS INCLUDED)

1. Animation/Sound design always loved how David Pro did an amazing job with the animation/sound design and how it got you that much more immersed into the World of Fire Force
2- Slow Start-FF does start of slow but to me that’s important cause without the slow start u can’t buildup characters, the world/lore, dynamics, themes, and yes the fairly boring start does pay off heavily.
3-Fight scenes/ gonna let this one speak for itself
4-Benimaru 😼
5-Shinra from the start of the story was traumatized on what happened to him as a kid, and in that process ostracized from society being blamed for killing his family, and his journey to get rid of the perception to finding out what it means to be a hero, is one of my fav aspects
Plot/Mystery- at first the plot isn’t to crazy it’s at first finding out about infernals, to then finding out about Adolla and its aspects, aswell as the evangelist behind the people’s brainwashing, and the church being a fake to further implant ideas in the minds of people-
Furthering the plot with Amaterasu and the pillars and how they’re the key towards the catacalysm, subtly foreshadowing on what infernals actually are and where they come, and what brings them forth into the real world-
Accompany that with how the furthers because of society’s collective unconscious leading themselves towards despair and eventually death the birth of a new evolution for humanity,, aswell as the aspect of Real life plays a huge part into the plot/power system
Antagonists-imo FF has a extremely well fleshed out antagonist group, all of them each have different motives all making sense with the ever changing world and why they are doing what they are doing, aswell as them pushing characters to the edge, questioning morals of characters
Seeing if convictions hold true, providing insight to past actions and why they believe the world/humanity should perish
The Power system is something that is fleshed out with the 3 generations and how OP characters can still be defeated or stopped in a way, and how fire powers rate to real life with humans only being able to use 30% of their strength, only using full strength with a -
Hysterical strength/Fire scene which then is Pressure of Death, not to mention the incorporation of kata and how different hand signs increase power in different parts of the body, breath of life, feeling an opponents intent to kill on the field, and meditation and martial arts
Themes- the most prevalent and most important theme in FF is religion u can see how religion has affected society how characters like, Burns and Iris after finding out the truth despair on where to go forward in life, each taking different steps towards what they believe is the-
Right path, or characters like Joker, Benimaru who after learning the truth abandoned the faith and each took their own paths into finding out the truth of the world by taking more extreme measures
Or even the common people who have put so much faith in the church that they have become brainwashed and ignorant to the truth , and when infernals break out the only place to turn to is the false words of prayer, that is meant to drive their hearts to despair
Lastly FF is not your typical shonen as to where it has long major arcs it’s setup in small arcs, that foreshadow later events and tell u something about the plot to further it, it’s a heavy plot battle shonen that’s also mystery, and has a stage setup
